Operational e-Fuels facility

HIF Haru Oni

Punta Arenas, Chile

HIF Global's facility HIF Haru Oni produces e-Fuels with the strong winds of Patagonia and state-of-the-art technology. It is the first plant of its kind in the world, and very important for the future scalability of the technology and mass production of e-Fuels. Inaugurated in 2022, Haru Oni is certified under ISCC Plus and has concluded eight exports of e-Gasoline to its client Porsche.

Projects in advanced development

HIF has four commercial-scale e-Fuels facilities in advance development stage: HIF Matagorda in United States, HIF Paysandú in Uruguay, HIF Cabo Negro in Chile, and HIF Tasmania in Australia. The company is also working on additional projects in earlier phase of development and exploring sites in all geographies for future facilities.

HIF Matagorda

HIF Matagorda

Texas, USA

The Matagorda plant will be the first large-scale e-Fuels facility in the world and expects to produce approximately 1.4 million tons per year of e-Methanol when fully constructed. It will provide approximately 4,000 jobs during construction and approximately 140 direct jobs during operations, and will benefit not only Matagorda County, but all of South Texas.
