HIF Global, a world-leading e-Fuels company, will once again supply e-Fuels for the renowned vintage car race Arosa ClassicCar in Switzerland, taking place this weekend.
As one of the event's official sponsors, HIF is reinforcing its commitment to low-carbon mobility and supporting the continued development of the e-Fuels market in Switzerland, a country that is a pioneer in technology-neutral automotive policy. By recognizing the contribution of vehicle technologies and renewable synthetic fuels, Switzerland has created a unique framework for the automotive industry that supports multiple effective pathways to reducing emissions.
In cooperation with Arosa ClassicCar, and with Porsche Switzerland as main sponsor and car partner, HIF Global is giving approximately 180 drivers of historic vehicles the chance to run exclusively on e-Fuels, free of charge.

The participating vehicles will tackle the 7.3-kilometer mountain course between Langwies and Arosa, featuring 76 bends and an elevation gain of 422 meters. The continued use of e-Fuels at the event underlines their technical compatibility with a broad range of existing combustion engines, including historic vehicles operating under demanding driving conditions.
e-Fuels are made with renewable energy to separate hydrogen from oxygen in the molecule of water. The hydrogen is combined with captured carbon dioxide to produce e-Fuels, such as e-Methanol, which can be used as a shipping fuel or converted into other e-Fuels including e-Gasoline for cars, e-SAF for planes, and e-Diesel for trucks. e-Fuels are chemically equivalent to fuels used today and can therefore be used in existing engines without requiring modifications.
