Nicolás Pino and HIF Global Join Forces to Drive Chilean Innovation in International Motorsport

Nicolás Pino, one of Latin America’s most promising young racing drivers, has announced a collaboration with HIF Global, a leading e-Fuels company, to promote initiatives related to synthetic fuels, innovation, and technological development within the international motorsport ecosystem.

At just 21 years old, Pino has competed in some of the world’s most important championships, including the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA SportsCar Championship in the United States. He has also served as a Formula E development driver and has made notable appearances at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans across its different categories, achieving milestones at an exceptionally young age. His recent signing with A14 Management, the agency led by Fernando Alonso, further reflects his ambition to reach the highest levels of international motorsport.

The collaboration brings together two projects born in Chile that are now competing on the global stage: Pino, who has established himself as one of Latin America’s racing drivers with the strongest international potential, and HIF, which has helped position Chile as a global pioneer in e-Fuel production and in the development of technologies to decarbonize transportation.

Since 2022, HIF has been producing e-Fuels at Haru Oni, its facility in Punta Arenas, which is operated by a predominantly Chilean team. These fuels have been used in more than 30 vehicles across eight European Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup races over the past three years. They have also been used in international demonstration events such as Monterey Car Week in the United States and Arosa ClassicCar in Switzerland, as well as demonstrated in applications including sustainable tourism to Antarctica, a Chilean Navy vessel, and Toyota hybrid vehicles.

“Motorsport is much more than competition. It is an industry and one of the world’s leading centers for R&D and innovation. It is a platform where technologies are developed and validated before making their way into people’s everyday lives. I have always been passionate about technology and optimistic about the future, which is why I am excited and challenged by the opportunity to collaborate with HIF. It represents innovation developed in Chile with a global outlook, and we share the conviction that motorsport can help accelerate new solutions for the mobility of the future,” said Nicolás Pino.

César Norton, President and CEO of HIF Global, added: “Motorsport has historically been a platform for innovation across the industry. Nicolás represents a new generation of Chilean talent with global potential, and we are very excited to explore opportunities together that can continue to showcase the potential of e-Fuels in some of the world’s most demanding environments.”
